LCT 3.25" Geaux Shrimp

The LCT 3.25″ Geaux Shrimp is another bait from LCT made to catch fish in both saltwater AND freshwater. It simply does its job and does it well.

WHAT’S DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SHRIMP ON THE MARKET? See more detail below regarding rigging, but the overarching theme here is realism. Most artificial shrimp on the market are weighted and hooked from the head, which is not how shrimp naturally swim. Shrimp sort of glide through the water and then flee backwards when in danger. They do not “swim” as a swimbait does.

SIZE/APPEARANCE. The size of the LCT 3.25″ was selected based on the average size shrimp we see fish feeding on in the Gulf of Mexico and inshore waters of Louisiana.
The body is 3.25″ long from nose to tail. From the tip of the antennae to the tail is 4″.
The body is .50″ wide.
The back of the bait has wide joints mimicking the carapace of a shrimp.
The belly of the bait is totally flat, aiding in the gliding action as it falls through the water column.
The rocket shaped tail is fanned out in order to aid in that gliding action.
The antennae and all 8 legs of the bait are made to wiggle in the water, but not too much- just enough to give that little bit of edge and presentation.

ACTION. This is the best part! A beginner can fish this bait and catch fish with very little expertise. Likewise, a storied veteran angler can enjoy the many ways to fish the bait given it’s wide range of versatility.
This bait is designed to be rigged from the tail or body in order to mimic a fleeing shrimp (they swim backwards). *See “RIGGING” below.

VERSATILITY. Whether you are chasing Speckled Trout, Redfish, Bass, or so many more, the LCT 3.25″ Geaux Shrimp is a fantastic natural presentation to be used to land those prized species.

RIGGING. Depending on how you rig and retrieve the LCT 3.25″ Geaux Shrimp, you can impart MANY different types of action, depending on what you are after.
Pre-rigging– We chose NOT to add a jighead or hook for a simple reason. We want YOU to be able to decide which hook you want to use, how heavy the weight (or no weight), etc. and not be forced to a single size/weight.
Under a Cork– The LCT 3.25″ Geaux Shrimp can be fished on a jighead under a cork just like any other plastic bait. As you “pop” your cork, the bait will rocket backward, then fall down under the weight of the jighead. Alternatively, rig it on a hook with NO WEIGHT and it will glide back and forth as it ever so slowly sinks, enticing those finicky fish when they want something moving very slowly, yet still moving.
Carolina Rig– Fish it on your favorite size Carolina Rig weighted to your specific conditions and give the LCT 3.25″ Geaux Shrimp as much or as little action as you want for your circumstances.
Totally Weightless/Wacky Rig– Rig it on a regular worm or straight shank hook and watch as the very slightly sinking plastic makes a slow gliding fall giving the maximum amount of time in the strike zone for that big bite.  Likewise, you can literally hook this bait through the middle as you would Wacky Rig a worm for Bass, and it will glide on the fall, then when you pop it, will curl for a second before the fall- just like the real thing.  Getcha some!
